As of the writing of this post (December 2019), there will be a change to the profile of our 350g Flat Nose 45-70 bullet. Historically, we loaded a plated bullet made by Berry's Manufacturing in St. George, UT. Along with a majority of our 45-70 customers, we enjoyed great success and accuracy with this round. However, there were a slim few rifles out in the world that had trouble getting along with the fat profile of this particular bullet.
We collaborated with Berry's to identify the part of the projectile that was causing the problem and our friends at Berry's were nice enough to rework the profile. Now, the same grain bullet features a steeper ogive to play well with the tighter tolerance firearms.
